If you are interested in the history of Lone Rock, the Civil War, railroad history, or Wisconsin River history in the area, you are welcome to join the Lone Rock Area Historical Society! The Historical Society provides activities that are fun and educational.
Did you know that after the Civil War, veterans from the 6th Wisconsin Artillery Battery met for reunions in Lone Rock? The Civil War Encampment in early June provides sights, sounds, and smells from this bygone era. Volunteer opportunities are available for history buffs in and around the area.
